The Da Vinci Initiative provides two, $3,000 grants to State Art Education Associations each year to host a studio-based weekend retreat for their members. Each grant covers the following costs:
• An Atelier Artist to Teach a Hands-On Workshop • Space Rental for 2 Days • Art Supplies For the 2016-2017 school year, we are pleased to announce that the Kansas and Mississippi Art Education Associations will receive up to $3,000 from The Da Vinci Initiative for weekend retreats. For the 2015-2016 school year, the Colorado and Utah Art Education Associations received this grant. For the 2014-2015 school year, the Washington, New Hampshire, and Wyoming Art Education Associations received up to $3,000 from The Da Vinci Initiative for weekend retreats. The Wyoming and New Hampshire Art Education Associations won their retreats at a Da Vinci Initiative giveaway during the National Art Education Association Leadership Meeting held July 24-27, 2014. Although DVI has a limited number of free retreats to give away, we use our connections with artists to provide opportunities for education associations all over the country. Please contact us if you are a board member of a state art education association and are interested in hosting a skill-based learning weekend retreat for your membership.
