This PowerPoint shows you how to make a foam core light box for your classroom.
This is an essential tool in art classrooms that teach skill-based art education. This simple design, once created, takes less then five seconds to assemble and disassemble which maximizes the amount of time students can spend on their actual art projects. It stores completely flat and although suited for anyone who wants to control their light source while drawing, it is perfect for classroom use. It can be created for $1 using simple supplies. Teachers can make this box themselves or have their students make them. We have created a video that demonstrates how to use this box and talks about its benefits which we have made available to the public for free. It can be accessed via The Da Vinci Initiative’s Youtube channel, or by clicking here.
