This new series of lesson plans from The Da Vinci Initiative is set up for you to pick and choose from a smörgåsbord of activities that will enhance your students' understanding of values when drawing. Within these activities there is a particular emphasis on "field effect". Field effect is how the perceived value can look different depending on the value that surrounds it. Careful observation and practice with values will heighten student awareness of values, which then leads to understanding and application of these value concepts when drawing.

Included in these lesson plans are collaborative activities, power-point presentations and a suggested drawing project.
